Kent Smith

Starting music at an early age was cool with my folks; making it a career was not. I thought girls, parties, and relatively easy money were a good thing!? After getting a B.S. in Performance, playing with roughly 18 bands, adding a few extra instruments, and doing quite a few thousand miles of road work, I find myself in ABQ. With Wyoming as the point of origin and a 15 yr stint in Minneapolis, it’s been an interesting trip.

Since moving here, I’ve been able to work more on my original music, which will end up in the New Age bin when the disc is finished.

(Kent’s work has garnered recognition as finalist in the 2004 “Yamaha International Music Production Contest” and finalist in both the ’06 and ’07 “New Mexico Music Awards” programs. He also runs his own recording/live sound company called “Padded Room Productions)

These guys let me go nuts every once in a while and it’s always a party when we play so come join the fun. They’re never sure what I’m going to do next!
